Post Hatch Development of Alkaline Phosphatase Activity in the Broiler Small Intestine

چکیده
This study was aimed to determine the alkaline phosphatase activity following time course (days) in the intestine of broilers. We used a sample of 54 subjects of broilers from hatching period to 56th day of age. Our finding showed a significant increase in the alkaline phosphatase activity at various levels in the different intestinal segments during the first two weeks of life and then decreased significantly with age (p<0.05). Moreover, alkaline phosphatase activity was higher in the duodenum and jejunum than in the ileum over the period examined. We concluded that alkaline phosphatase as a marker of enterocyte maturation, has a high enzymatic activity in the duodenum and jejunum of broilers.

Effects of dietary vitamin E on mucosal maltase and alkaline phosphatase enzyme activities and on the amount of mucosal malonyldialdehyde in broiler chickens
The effects of dietary vitamin E levels on mucosal maltase and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) enzyme activities and on the amount of mucosal malonyldialdehyde (MDA) in broiler chickens were studied in the present study. One hundred and eighty of day old male broiler chicks (Ross 308 strain) were randomly assigned into five groups, each with three replicates and 12 chicks in each replicate. Chickens...

The objective of this study was to test the hypothesis that in ovo injection of carbohydrates into pigeon (Columba livia) amnion may improve the small intestine development. At d 14.5 of incubation, 80 fertile eggs were injected with 200 μL of carbohydrate solution, and 80 control eggs were not injected. The carbohydrate solution (wt/vol) contained 2.5% maltose + 2.5% sucrose, all dissolved in ...
متن کاملComparative efficacy of a yeast product and bacitracin methylene disalicylate in enhancing early growth and intestinal maturation in broiler chicks from breeder hens of different ages.
The intestine of the newly hatched chick is immature at hatch. Yeast contains nucleotides and β-glucans that enhance intestinal development and chick growth. Accordingly, a 14-d experiment was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of a novel yeast product and bacitracin methylene disalicylate in enhancing early growth and intestinal maturation in chicks obtained from young (26-27 wk old) and old (...
متن کاملPhytase activity in the small intestinal brush border membrane of the chicken.
The kinetics, mineral dependency, and pH dependency of phytate hydrolysis by preparations of chicken small intestinal brush border membrane vesicles were determined. Substantial phytate hydrolysis occurred over the pH range from 5 to 6.5 with a maximum hydrolysis at pH of 6. Inclusion of 25 mM MgCl2 in the media doubled the rate of phytate hydrolysis. The brush border was shown to have no nonsp...

Histological development of digestive tract of the Caspian salmon, Salmo trutta caspius, from hatching to 6 month post-hatching was studied using light microscope. The digestive tract of newly hatched larvae was a simple, undifferentiated tube which continued from mouth to anus. In 10 days post hatching larvae, the alimentary canal became more differentiated and secretion was started activity, ...
